Radiotherapy in the complex treatment of high grade extranodal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma
- Marinovа, I. Mihaylova, R. Georgiev
The extranodal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma are rare malignant diseases with variegated histology characteristics. The clinical stage and grade of malignancy (low grade and high grade) define the complex treatment approach, including chemotherapy and radiotherapy. On the basis of own clinical surveys and treatment results in 16 patients with extranodal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, we focus on the diagnostic significance of imunohistochemical analysis and treatment effectiveness of the complex treatment approach. We would like to underline the contribution of radiotherapy to the local tumor control and disease free survival in high grade intracranial and peripheral extranodal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The radiotherapy is integral part of the complex treatment of high grade extranodal non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
