Aneurysms of the vertebral artery are rare, constituting 0.5 to 3% of all intracranial aneurysms and less than 20% of those of the posterior brain circulation. Bilateral – mirror aneurysms on vertebral artery are extremely rare and unusual lesions, but are often seen and treated in the setting of acute subarachnoid hemorrhage or stroke in the posterior circulation. The treatment of such aneurysms of the vertebral artery with their specific anatomical location is great challenge to traditional neurosurgery. We present our experience with endovascular approach with this pathology.
