- Petkov, V. Groudeva
Both bleeding and thrombosis are possible risk of severe complications and death in end stage heart failure patients with ventricular assist device implanted. Anticoagulation regiment is very important and still challenging task in management of those patients. The aim of this study is to share author’s observation with a 29 years old patient, who experienced thrombosis of implanted ventricular assist device four day after pleural hemorrhage and which thrombosis was overcame successfully by anticoagulation treatment. Imaging findings supporting clinical management are highlighted.
