Situs inversus viscerum is a rare condition. It is often associated with poliorgan anomalies, and this requires a thorough and careful preoperative evaluation of the patients’ condition. Several patients have been reported with situs inversus viscerum totalis and renal carcinoma, but not a case of a renal carcinoma relapse of an ectopic horseshoe kidney after partial kidney resection.
