Abstract.

A case of reflux in the left ovarian vein in asymptomatic patient is described. On the MDCT images the vein is enlarged over 7 mm and well visualized in all segments from the uterine plexus till the ipsilateral renal vein. In the early arterial phase such finding could be considered as part of the pelvic congestion syndrome or nutcracker syndrome (compression of the left ovarian vein between the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery), other types of compression
by normal structures, failure if the venous valves, anomalies compromising the normal venous drainage. In asymptomatic women who had given birth such a dilation is consider as normal findings
