Abstract. The corpus callosum is the main transverse tract of fibers that connects the two cerebral hemispheres. The term agenesis means that the corpus callosum is totally absent. The malformation develops in utero and is also classified as partial agenesis or hypoplasia of corpus callosum. The condition is found in 3 to 7 : 1000 live births. Our case represents agenesis of corpus callosum in middle aged man. Magnetic-resonance imaging is the modality of choice in evaluating both corpus callosum and the frequently associated anomalies.
