The authors describe a case of a rare neoplasm – a sacrococcygeal chordoma, which was suspected in a 56 year old man presented with pain and the diagnostic value of MRI. In chordomas the appearance of numerous intralesional septations is distinguishing in addition to the typical localization of
the lesions as well as the typical enhancement characteristics.Magnetic resonance imaging is the imaging modality of choice for diagnosis, as well as for the surgical planning and the long term management.
