Embolisation of internal carotid artery aneurysm using the double microcatheter technique – a case report
|М. Lilov, R. Juszkat|
We report a case of embolisation off a wide-necked aneurysm using the double microcatheter technique. The same is located at the level of the inner carotid artery, after coiling in another hospital and migration a part of the coil into the parent vessel. This is a reason of stent deployment. Introduction of the second microcatheter into the aneurysm allowed crossing of the two coils and prevented protrusion into the parent vessel, which resulted in successful treatment without post procedural complications. Control angiography immediately after the coiling showed complete exclusion of the aneurysm.
